A Statement from The Stone Table
The Stone Table is aware of the allegations involving David Wigington and the ongoing investigation by the Indiana District Assemblies of God. Our initial response was to allow the District to complete its investigation before determining what additional steps might be appropriate.
As the District’s investigation has evolved, the board has determined that David will no longer serve on The Stone Table board or in any leadership capacity while these matters remain under investigation.
This decision should not be understood as a conclusion regarding allegations that remain under investigation. Rather, given the questions that have been raised and the high standards of trust, accountability, and stewardship we expect of those serving in leadership, the board determined this was the appropriate decision for The Stone Table.
In light of the recent questions regarding financial transactions, The Stone Table has already initiated its own internal investigation and is engaging an independent third party to conduct a financial review. Given the personal and family relationships involved, appropriate individuals have been recused from these processes.
Because these reviews are not complete, we will not publicly debate individual allegations, evidence, or potential conclusions.
