A Statement from The Stone Table

10/21/2026

For the past several months, The Stone Table has been awaiting the conclusion of the Indiana District Assemblies of God investigation involving David Wigington. In addition to our own investigation, we have sought to allow their process to run its course before making any final organizational decisions.

The District has now completed its investigation and informed David that he is being dismissed as a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God. We are grateful that this lengthy process has reached a conclusion and that decisions have now been made.

In light of the District’s findings and resulting action, The Stone Table has made the decision to permanently end David Wigington’s involvement with the organization. David will no longer serve on The Stone Table board, in leadership, or in any other organizational capacity.

Separate from the District’s investigation, The Stone Table previously initiated its own internal review and engaged an independent third party to review financial matters raised during this process. That financial review remains ongoing. We remain committed to allowing that process to be completed thoroughly and independently.

This has been a difficult season for many people. We are grateful for the patience of our friends and partners as these processes have unfolded, and we remain committed to moving forward with integrity, accountability, and focus on the mission God has entrusted to The Stone Table.
